Every school, a prayed for school... pray with us on 20th November

Join us in an international day of prayer for schools, coming up soon!

Pray Day is the third Tuesday of November every year when schools across Europe and around the world are the focus of prayer.

This year it will be held on Tuesday 20th November 2018, with schools across the UK taking part. If you haven’t heard about it before, this is a day set aside every year for people across Europe to focus on praying for their schools, with events taking place in many countries including the UK. The day is for:

  • all types of school from nursery to sixth form

  • pupils, school staff, governors, parents, church leaders, youth workers and anyone else concerned about young people

  • anyone who believes that God hears our prayers

Resources for PrayDay 2018 based on Psalm 100 - a psalm for giving thanks to God

Wondering and wandering... Student event taking bookings!

The Student Christian Movement who have had active representation on our Free Churches Group HE Working Group over the last few years are hosting their national annual gathering next spring.

SCM says, “Come together with students from around the country for our annual gathering at Hebron Hall, Dinas Powys near Cardiff! We'll be spending the weekend exploring the themes of pilgrimage and prayer and looking at how we can listen to God and speak out in faith.  We're super pleased to announce that Amanda Mukwashi, the CEO of Christian Aid, will be our key note speaker on the Saturday! She will be exploring what the themes of prayer and pilgrimage have meant to her in light of her experiences. Read more about her and our other speakers.”

Lights, camera, action for Further Education!

FCG have been both working and developing links with Festive, the UK based Christian charity, who support students and staff in further education. They have just launched a fantastic, inspiring and Christ-centred new YouTube channel. You can check out all the films HERE.

These films would be great to share in your churches and youth groups.

Film topics include: How do I live for Jesus? and How do I survive as a Christian?
