Thank you from Bob and I and from all at Prisons Week!

It’s a heartfelt and prayerful THANK YOU from Revd Bob Wilson and I from FCG (pictured below) and from all of the sponsors of Prisons Week for joining hundreds of us in a wave of prayer throughout the week of prayer for Prisons Week.

You can continue to pray, view and share the Prisons Week materials throughout the year and we look forward to praying with you all again in October Prisons Week 2022.

Hope... pray with us in Prisons Week

Prisons Week prayer for Friday 15th October

HOPE
”For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Let us pray… Dear God, I hear your kind words of comfort and reassurance that you want me to prosper and not be harmed. Help me not to worry about my life, but to put my trust in you, to be happy and full of hope, love and gratitude.

Amen

”I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.” Ezekiel 36:25 - pray with us during Prisons Week

Prisons Week prayer for Thursday 14th October.

LETTING GOD

”I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.” Ezekiel 36:25

Let us pray. Heavenly Father, I lift all those in prison today, no life is beyond your reach. Come to those who don’t know you and cause them to start seeking you. Thank you for those who do know you, in whom your heart resides; as they go through this day and cross paths with others, cause them to stop and listen, and show your great love to those they encounter. May we all make time for the lost and hurting today.

Amen

Allied Health Professionals Day 14th October

Allied health professionals make up the third largest clinical workforce in the NHS. There are 15 different roles working across a range of sectors from emergency response and diagnosis to mental and physical rehabilitation. On the 14 October, the many and varied workers who are allied health professions (AHPs) will be celebrating the 4th annual AHPs’ Day. This is very much driven by local ideas and opportunities. Follow #AHPsDay on Twitter you’ll be able to see examples from last year as well as plans starting to take shape for this year. You can also find out more about last year from the WeCommunities.

From Art Therapists to Osteopaths,

from Paramedics to Occupational Therapists,

from Dietitians to Podiatrists,

we pray for and give thanks for the work of those in allied health professions. Amen

Started in 2018, by Rachael Brandreth, a dietitian and Carrie Biddle, a speech and language therapist, AHPs’ Day is an annual opportunity for AHPs to come together and celebrate being part of the AHP family.

The day gives an opportunity to showcase to others the impact they make to the delivery of high quality care and is for all AHPs as well as anyone who wants to celebrate them and learn more about the work that they do.
